Highlights
Steve Culler aced the 14th hole with an eight iron and pockets the $150 hole-in-one pot. Congratulations, Steve! Of course, this means you have to send in an additional dollar with your entry for Fox Run (the fee is now $24). This is the third ace of the year! Last month we had the lowest scores ever in a tournament and I believe this month we beat our record. Check out these winning scores. There were two eagles on #1, one authored by Todd Crittenden, the other by Pete DeSisto.
Closest to Pin/Longest Drive
Ray Bolo on #4; Mike Toskey on #7; Jan Gunter on #10; Mike Duffie on #12; and Steve Culler (ace) on #14. Long drive on #15 – Bob Wall.
Next Tournament

New Member Welcome
Welcome to Mickey Creach, Curt Irish, Carl Mason, and Jim Thrift.
Hole-in-One

Hammer’s Glenn, Homer, GA/Eagle’s Nest/Commerce, GA Trip
We will travel south on I-85 to the Commerce, GA area on October 28th and October 29th to play two outstanding courses. Hammer’s Glenn in Homer, GA (can be viewed at the following web address: http://www.hammersglen.com/layout9.asp?id=498&page=25431)
Hammer’s Glenn is an 18 hole Championship course designed by Mark McCumber.
Eagle Greens at Sandy Creek http://www.golflink.com/golf-courses/course.asp?course=1523456)is another Championship course (I have played it) which has a variety of great holes. We will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Commerce just minutes Eagle Greens. The two rounds of golf will be $75 and includes cart and prizes. The hotel cost is $42 including tax for double occupancy and includes a buffet breakfast. Dinner will be on your own. Total cost is $117 plus your dinner. If you are playing both days, send a check for $75 made out to FSGA by October 15th. The cost for Tuesday only is $39 and the cost for Wednesday only is $36. The deadline is October 15th for the entry fee and to make hotel reservations. Deadline for entry and hotel reservations will be October 15th. Hotel reservations can be made by calling 706-336-8666. Tell them you are with the FSGA. There is a large outlet mall in Commerce and some members might want to bring their wives. While you are running up your score on the golf course, your spouse can run up your credit card bill. Members who live in Anderson County might consider driving down for both days or playing one day as Commerce is only an hour south of exit 40 (Rt. 153) on I-85 and anyone living in Anderson County can get there in less than an hour. Please support our trips. Invite a guest or bring your own foursome.
