Dean Gosnell shot one over par from the blue tees (scratch flight) in his initial tournament. Buddy Simpson bettered his handicap by seven strokes to win low gross in his second tournament.

May Golf Trip

Let me know ASAP if you are going to Arrowhead Pointe (Tuesday, May 27th, $41) and/or Highland Walk (Wednesday, May 28th, $36). If you are planning on staying at the Best Western in Hartwell (706-376-4700, $43.11 per person, double occupancy), you must make your reservation by April 27th. Bring a foursome and enjoy two of the best courses in the southeast. Arrowhead Pointe was chosen as 2nd best new public course in the country two years ago. Guests can compete for prizes with an established handicap.
