After graduating from high school, Charlie attended Mars Hill College before being drafted. During WWII he served as a waist-gunner on a B-24 out of Heathel, England (color-blindness prevented him from being a pilot). He flew 35 missions over Europe.

After the war Charlie graduated from Western Kentucky and came to Greenville in 1947 to start his career as a CPA. He became Vice-President of Finance for Ballenger Paving Company and retired in 1985. He worked as a consultant for Ballenger until he started working at Greenville Tech in 1991.

Charlie has been a member of Foothills for more than 15 years and loves the game. Like most of us, Charlie has gotten longer in the tooth and shorter with the driver. But when you play with Charlie, you can still see flashes of that college level player.

Roger played football, basketball, and track in high school (no baseball team). He served four years in US Air Force. He played semi-pro football for six years and semi-pro baseball for 4 years. Roger also played lots of softball through the years.

Roger played golf briefly when he caddied as a teenager, but didn’t take up the game seriously until his late 20’s.

Roger has played with the Foothills Senior Golf Association for two years. He enjoys the challenge and competition of golf, especially the “inner” mental game.

If you are paired with a guy who can really bomb it, is fearless (he pulls out the driver no matter the danger on the hole), and putts cross-handed, say hello to Roger Dubois.
